Dear Parents/Carers
As we move further into March, it has been lovely to see brighter mornings and the first signs of spring arriving. The improved weather has brought a real lift across the school, with children enjoying more time outdoors and bringing plenty of cheerful energy into their learning. Playtimes have been fantastic in the sunshine and the children have loved playing together. Our new 'Disco Friday' music on the playground has been a huge hit!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent parental engagement sessions. It was wonderful to see so many families taking part in our Mother’s Day activities, sharing special moments and creating memories together. Your involvement makes such a positive difference to our school community and we are always grateful for the time you give.
We are now looking forward to our Year 5 Easter Assembly, which promises to be a fantastic celebration of the season. The children have been working hard in preparation and we are excited to share their performance with you soon.
Wishing you all a calm and happy week ahead.
Warm regards.
Mrs Kerry Exon

Year 2 Mother’s Day Assembly
Last Friday, the children in Hedgehog Class celebrated their mums and grans with a Mother's Day Assembly. The children sang songs and gave reasons why they love the special people in their lives and what they are thankful for.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our special assembly.
Year Parental Engagement Afternoon
Year 3 Swimming
Year 3 will be swimming after the Easter holidays. Swimming lessons have changed from a Monday morning to a Thursday afternoon, so the first session will be Thursday 23rd April. The venue hasn’t changed - children will still swim at Blackbrook Leisure Centre.
The office will send confirmation via email once this has been set up on Arbor, ready for payment.
Dormouse Class Food Tasting
Reception had great fun learning about the Lunar New Year. The children loved having a go at using chopsticks to eat noodles - it was quite tricky! They also tried lychees and fortune cookies.
Careers Week - 6th July
As part of our Careers Week, we would love to introduce the children to a variety of job roles within our community. If you, or someone you know, would be happy to come in and talk informally about your job, we would be delighted to hear from you!
We welcome all professions—farmers, vets, nurses, mechanics, shop owners, builders, chefs, office workers, drivers, creatives… absolutely anyone! The children really enjoy learning about different careers and hearing from real people makes it extra special.
The session would simply involve chatting about what you do for approximately an hour, followed by a few questions from the children
If you’re interested, please let us know. Thank you so much for your support!
No Animals Allowed on Site
Following a recent risk assessment, we would like to remind all families that no animals are permitted on the school site at any time.
If you are walking with a pet, please ensure they are left safely at the gate before entering the premises.
This measure is in place to ensure the safety of all our pupils, staff and visitors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Girls Cricket Camps
Although a little way to travel, these camps are free!
