OFSTED
We are delighted that OFSTED recognised Bishop’s Hull Primary School as ‘Good’ in all areas, affirming the high standards of teaching, learning, and care that we provide. This outcome reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the strong support of our families and community.
Our previous report was conducted before we became part of The Blackdown Education Partnership. As one of their academy schools, the Trust have continued to support us to go from strength to strength, bringing collaboration, expertise and challenge for the best our our whole school community.
The previous report confirmed what we already knew about our strengths, it also reinforced our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in every aspect of school life. At Bishop’s Hull, we believe education is about far more than a single judgement. Our parents and community regularly tell us what makes our school special: the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued, and the exciting opportunities that help every child to thrive. Visitors often comment on the sense of pride and positivity that shines through in our pupils.
We are proud of our broad and balanced curriculum, which inspires curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Alongside strong academic achievement, we place equal importance on personal development, wellbeing, and building the skills children need for life beyond school. From sporting events and music performances to outdoor learning and community projects, we offer experiences that help pupils grow in confidence and resilience.
Being a ‘Good’ school is something to celebrate, but Bishop’s Hull is more than a grade: it is a vibrant, caring community where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. We will continue to build on our successes and strive to make our school the very best it can be.
